  1. Hey, I loved this. The acoustic in particular was fabulous. Only problem I had was the young guy, although talented, evidently never learned how to play rhythm?? He seems to think it’s all about himself playing blazing lead … and then sitting there with a stupid smile while the master plays lead. He never learned evidently that as musicians we take turns. You play lead I play rhythm and v.v. So Sad.

  2. kid? the guy is like 40 and he’s a pro too..

  13. Cool sound with the acoustic and the excellent accompaniment.

The electric could have been a little more quacky if it had to be distorted at all. And the reverb has them sound like they’re in different rooms.

"…The brilliant Los Angeles guitarist and instructor Jean-Marc Belkadi has, as he’s done with so many guitar approaches, refined dozens of cool ways to use pentatonics. One thing he likes his students to explore is stringskipping lines such as Ex. 12. And, as shown in Ex. 13, Belkadi often handles string skips the smart, convenient, hybrid way—by plucking the higher string with the picking hands middle finger…" page 93, March 09 Guitar Player Issue
