Some melodic rambling through an interesting backing track that keeps changing key. Played in Dropped-D on my Strat. This kind of improvisation is done without thinking scales or modes, just chords. If youd like to learn how its done, drop into www.thatllteachyou.com

  3. Omg this is amazing.. Like a swell 80’s with focus on alternative slide guitar! ^_^ Me like a lot!

  4. … Yeah, you’re right. I’d never heard tune that before… very similar. Frank was great.

I didn’t put the backing track together, it’s one that was floating around the net. From a playing point of view, it’s the key changes that are fun in this one, though. Keeps you on your toes.

  5. make it yourself! the chords are Bmin7—-Emin7—-Bmin7—-D7–E7– similiar to the "thrill is gone" by BB King. A great minor blues, just move the whole thing up one step at a time until the starting chord becomes D minor, then start the modulation again from the Bminor (happens at about 2:20 seconds in). You CAN use only chord tones to create a solo but it basically starts in D Major so you can build any scale(mode) from there and move it up one step with the chords, GOOD LUCK 🙂

  6. there is a perfect example that speed really doesn’t matter…

  7. amazing guitar, amazing guitarist, amazing transposing song.

  8. i think you have successfully nullified bohs1984 in terms of guitar criticism

  9. Which is why he’s using both bridge and middle pickups.
