it’s probably partialy to his character, but also he is one one the most accurate and fast playing slide players ever, and playing slide needs a lot of attention, due to infinite possibilities to be out of key. That is also why he is so calm.

I went to see Clapton in Philly on that tour and came away (blown away) wanting to see more DT. 20+/- times later, I’m still blown away wanting more. He’s the best. No question.
