This is my rendition of Roy Harpers Dont You Grieve from Flat Baroque and Berserk with the correct guitar tuning and some funny faces. This song can be played in standard tuning but I know Ive seen Roy doing it (I dont remember where…) and he was using open-E (or maybe open-D with capo). So, after the song I try to show why it sounds better using open-E tuning. It really is just details but it does sound better. Tune to open-E (EBEG#BE) and all you need is two fingers. Cheers!

  1. Yes this is a TW173. I’m very happy with it. I think it’s good value for the money. You surely can buy better guitars but this one costs under 350 euros!! It’s made in China but it’s nicely built and the woods are good. Top and back are solid. I recommend it. Cheers!

  2. This is the Tanglewood TW173? you’re happy with this guitar? I wan’t to buy one

  3. I avoid tuning up but for this one I made an exception. I use 011 strings and this way I got a little more punch.

  4. this is good …your voice is a good likeness to the original also the tutorial is good ,the only thing ,i dont like tuning up.but i can start lower and put the capo on .like you mentioned..cheers allan.uk
