    If I were you, I’d buy the standard Strat. It was good enough for Clapton for a good many years. Beck uses a standard Strat, as well. The cost of that extra fret is equivalent to the cost of another guitar. I don’t really think it’s worth it. I’ve been using the same Strat for nearly 12 years and it’s even better now than it was when it was brand new.

    But that’s just my opinion.
