Hollywood Fats pays tribute to one of his teachers and close friends, the legendary Freddy King. Freddy called Fats the greatest blues guitar player he had ever heard. Buddy Guy affectionatly gave him the name "Hollywood Fats." There wasnt anything in the blues genre that Fats couldnt play with laser beam like perfection. It is important to note Fats could play completely like himself and he could play like the masters. He was a true genius both as a guitarist and as a band leader. Fats tragically died in 1986 at the young age of 32, cutting short a life that had he lived, was destined for super stardom.
