Just so you know the American idea of what "Right" is’ is a different idea all together. Under the American form of what government is Hitler would easily fall into the left category. Under the American idea, conservatism believes in as little government interference as possible hence more social and financial freedom for its people. The left prefers larger government and control on its people. Extreme examples of these oligarchies are communism, fascism, and monarchy, etc.

The Right doesn’t mind restricting people’s social freedom, but is more concerned with economic freedom; the Left is the opposite, they care more about controlling and redistributing wealth but don’t want to restrict social issues. Hitler instituted a fascist government which is like the worst part of both of them controlling everything (and extremely racist.) So your not entirely wrong, but considering conservatism resists a growing government I would say your ‘more wrong than right’

The factor that scares me more than anything is that there are hardly any people left who can remember a time before television. Few people who grew up with it ever consider the possibility of a reality not determined by the electronic media, and most who consider themselves to be intelligent have never looked critically at its influence on their world view. But what you say about the oligarchy panicking may well be true – the propaganda gets more obvious all the time.
