  1. Thanks for the nice comments. The studio lasted ten years and with that many pages could written about the different band members and friends in the audience.
    Peace.

  2. Yea, I remember those Sunday afternoon gigs; Adios Mother in hand listening to John doing his remote numbers laying flat out on the lawn outside the Studio. One of the most versatile guitarists I’ve ever watched live. Absolutely loved his Neil Young stuff. Fun days, they were!

  3. Sounds great! I would love to hear some feedback from everyone on my own guitar videos. Thanks for the support!

  5. Awesome man! I used to catch you at the Studio Cafe back in my bachelor days, lol. You’re still awesome! Just bought your book off Amazon too. I’ll use it to help teach my daughters.

  6. Excelent!
Next time stand up to play the Blues.

  7. Has your guitar been set up and what gauge strings do you use? Try a low action and light gauge strings perhaps 9s or 10s.

  8. thank you. so i got the same style guitar as that one in epiphone dot black. 2 things, i didnt realize guitars specially these ones are heavy, and my four fingers are purple and very tender. i love it tho, learned bits of song tweezer by phish and next to learn is "first tube". prior to that i been trying to jam with your video doing 4 note solo 8&10fret 1st and second string and also copying your slides bending the wires and stuff, haha its been fun but my fingers hurt.

  9. Listen to the music that inspires. Whatever makes you feel better about yourself and life is the direction to go in.
Beginning and intermediate players can have just as much fun as a seasoned pro. It’s just an attitude that separates us all. Good luck with your study.

  10. one of the vids that definitely inspired me to buy a guitar and learn how to play blues. i wish there was a school course for guitar.. hope it doesnt end up like my drumset sitten in the corner. procrastination curse you!

  18. Hey John, I fell in love with the Gibson Es 335 dot neck reissue a few months ago and started saving for it. I found one for 1800 used at a used guitar shop, but since i have started playing all these moderately high end guitars its hard to decide which one to buy. What guitar do you think is the best in that price range? I am doing pink floyd type stuff, rock, and jazzy stuff, but dont necessarily want the strat sound although i wouldnt mind it either. Any suggestions?
