Keef lick in open G tuning

  1. This is the one on Ya Yas. In his book he says he wrote it but I read somewhere Bill Wyman was playing it on the piano and Keith said "What’s that?" and put it in a song?

  2. Jumpin Jack Flash or Stones stuff in general has always been a bloody puzzle working out what key they are playing in. I have played this in open E before and in standard tunings. Keith used a Tele with 5 strings later as well? Correct me if I’m wrong??

  3. This is AWESOME! Every tab on the net is for the studio version. I put in the Live in Rio DVD and played along and this was bang on! Thank you for posting these videos as I’m a much more visual learner. You ROCK!

  4. Hey man, I’ve been playing open G Jack Flash for years now and you’re the first person I’ve seen on YouTube do it correctly (like me!). Good job. Keep up the Keef riffs.

  5. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Awsome. Wow. This is what I’ve been looking for. Everybody knows about there being some Open G-version(s) – the typical live version – but I didnt know there actually were different live versions, I could hear it but not get it. I actaully prefer the Open D, studio version and the Rock n roll circus version in standard. Thanks for uploading these great lessons in how to play JJF. Any chance youll upload a version in Open D?
