If you want to play on your own I wouldn’t advise on playing slide in standard tuning; open G or D are much more suitable.
I have several slide lessons, check out my lesson playlist.
For real beginners I recommend Keni Lee Burgess, he’s on youtube under that name and has lotsa slide dvd’s.

Started playing few years back n am always amazed with the great blues tone you bring to slide. I want to learn how any pointers or sites I can visit. Is it easiest to start playing in standard tuning. I’ve been trying it on the 12th fret on ebgd which I can get some decent rhythm going. Thx Ryan

I saw an old Stella for 50 bucks in a flea market store in Irvine KY and didn’t have any cash at the time. Dang. The intonation was way off and it was hard to tune, but it was real cool. Good slidin’ man!

A Deluxe Concert. It’s in pretty bad shape and only good for slide.
