  1. Man that sucks so bad. Sorry to hear. I have had expensive Mountain Bikes stolen but I think stealing guitars is the worst.. 🙁
    Hope you got it back

  2. Jarvis– Can you give me any immediate recommendations to increase tone with this model? Should I get a different material bridge or nut? I am going to try some buffalo horn bridge pins. Thank you for the reviews. I love this guitar but I believe martin puts plastic bridge pins in. I couldn’t find any bone turtoise shell dot bridge pins so I had to go with the abalone.

  3. Thanks for the great review. I just picked one of these up. It’s my first Martin. It is simply amazing!

  4. Thanks for your kind comments..thanks for tuning in too…

  5. Could you do a review on the Martin HD-28mp? There are no reviews on youtube for this guitar. Thanks.

  6. Jarvis I love your reviews! thanks for sharing your thoughts on all these wonderful guitars.I have a D28 and an OMJM but I really fancy the D28v.

  7. the martin has a drier woodier tone…H&D has more overtone

  8. how does this compare with the Huss and dalton Road series dreadnaught ?

  9. It depends on your taste.
The Marquis has Adirondack top and braces and larger nut.
IMHO the Vintage series is more versatile, the Marquis is better for flatpicking, due to Adirondack top.
The quality of rosewood is the same.
Thanks for your very useful videos.

  10. I’m sold on Jarvis. I want him to pick out my next guitar.

  11. Good vids Jarvis.

Question though related to an older comment, what would you prefer to play HD-28V or Santa Cruz D/PW?

I know its all about what the individual likes, just wondering what you’re opinion is.

    Keep making vids!

  12. I know its a 3 month old topic but I’d figure I would jump in since I own a Santa Cruz D/PW. The biggest difference to MY EARS is that the D/PW has better trebles and is just LOUD in general. Although I do like the HD-28 line up myself, I think the Santa Cruz is a better buy – buy used and save some cash though. What I do like more about the HD-28 is that it is more boomier than the D/PW but it doesn’t go the distance as far as sound projection goes.

    Thats just my opinion though.

  13. The D28M will have more headroom due to the Adirondack top and sound fatter too…honestly the marquis is a better sounding guitar with better quality woods

  14. How does this guitar compare to the D-28 Marquis? I really like the D-28 line, and sort of have my heart set on the Marquis. I’ve also been looking at the Clarence White model, since I’m a huge fan of the Byrds.

  15. Still too much for HD28V. Pretty much every dealer will take off 40{10faa3092bae83cdf963b1ab1025701434ba1e012413cb9c0c72be0a479389c3} of MSRP on Martins. Good price on a brand new HD28V is about $2,500 and about $2,050 for standard HD28.

  16. Waaay too much money!!! Pretty much every dealer will take off 40{10faa3092bae83cdf963b1ab1025701434ba1e012413cb9c0c72be0a479389c3} of MSRP on Martins. Good price on a brand new HD28V is about $2,500 and about $2,050 for standard HD28.

  17. Jarvis I enjoy your reviews. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the HD28 compared to the HD28v. Also if you would have any thoughts on how they would compare to the Santa Cruz D/PW. I have tried them all out and I am having a hard time deciding
