  1. This is really one of few songs I like by Newman but it’s great and you do it fine.

  2. my mom and ad saw him live he is amazing he signed an autograph for me x

  3. I saw him live, and he was AAA-MAAAA-ZING!!! He did this song, it must have been in 2008, on this tour maybe?

And he actually played a local folk club, which as all good folk clubs are in skittle alleys.
And i heard from the man who ran it, he wanted to ask for half the usual money for the tickets, and half the booking fees. So what a lovely chap 😀
And he wernt half bad… bonus.

  4. simply marvellous…but aknowledge the Randy Newman credit and his rendition which is better….I am sorry to say…

  5. Looking forwards to seeing you at the Chesterfield Folk club in April 2012

  6. Really? Who could you find to argue with that idea? Randy Newman IS one of the best songwriters ever. Arguably THE BEST.

  7. I listen to this moron. It’s funny how your probably the first one to say don’t judge and yet you judge poorly. This man is one the best and most humble artists’ around. Go back to your hole and suck on your mommas teet jerkoff

  8. You’re rather thick. It’s not about WHO sings it, what matters is the overall message the song has the audience get from it.

  9. saw him at folk by the oak very gooodd singer sounds american as he lived there 🙂

  10. i saw him about a fortnight ago in a really small venue that he said he really wanted to play, and he did for half the money he normally charges, and he was incredible, i did think he talked abit too much inbetween songs, but there again you do need abit of backstory.
and i shook his hand and had a 2 min chat with him about music, and the oil spill in the gulf of mexico.

  11. i saw him just now in frome :D:D beautiful and just brilliant :)

  12. Hah, he commented on that tonight. Said BBC Radio 4 (over here) recorded him, and they included his tuning, and his daughter’s a big fan and she listened to the recording, so all of a sudden on the sofa he got a "bloo-blu-bla-blu-bla" taking the mic out of how he tunes 😛
    Awesome guy.

  13. i waited nearly 4 years, and i was 14 (im now sixteen) i was thrilled ;p

  14. and i have waited19 years to see him.. as i will do on Saturday….like a breath of fresh and old air x
