Hey MrJazzy54.there are minor chords in open tunings but in a 12 bar blues or 12 bar folk we only use the chords built on the 1st, 4th and 5th degrees of the scale (ie 1,4,5) which are the primary seventh chords of D7, G7, A7.I look at the Secondary minor chords of Open D in one of my other lessons.Thanks for your question and I hope that helps.Cheers Cal
