  3. You might want to check out my video on blues shuffling. To give you a brief answer, i’m basically i’m striking picking downward on the strings that i’m fretting, twice per beat. The progression i’m playing is in 4/4 time, so i’m strumming "8th notes". To get a thicker, dampened sound, try using the palm mute technique by placing the palm of your hand over the saddle so that a bit of your flesh presses over the strings (just behind the bridge).
