I just picked up this cool little Danelectro Nifty Fifty amp at a garage sale yesterday and it works really well. I thought it would be a good time to get out one of my guitars and play a little.     This one doesn’t project the sound that well acoustically. I knew I was going to add the single coil pickup, so it was built more for a certain look than anything. If I wanted more acoustic sound, I would need to space the bowl away from the resonator a bit. I have some friends that have made some nice cigar box resonators. You can check them out on Cigarboxnation or HandmadeMusicClubhouse… Ted Crocker, Bairfoot Cajun, Old Lowe..have all made nice examples.

    Your construction skill and use of everyday items is amazing. You need to go into business creating these guitars. I myself have a "dirty thirty","nifty fifty",and "nifty seventy",I just had to get the set. My personal fave is the "dirty thirty" simply for its simplicity.     A friend of mine, Ted Crocker, winds some great pickups himself. I’ve thought about doing it too at some point, but I’m sure there would be a learning curve before I’d get it right. Thanks for watching!
