  12. A black man in those times…yeah, he sure knew what the blues were. So strange to see the signs for whites and colored, and really, it wasn’t all that long ago. I can remember my dad telling me stories, him being a farm boy and they would drive into town…that was the only time him and his brothers saw black people, and they were fascinated by them. Such different times.
