    The reason the Am/C works over the G7 is because they’re all chords from the same key (C major). The G7 is the dominant (V7) of C, and Am is the relative minor.

  5. My big problem is that i run out of licks really quick. And besides that i often dont know when and where im allowed to play.. i seems to play only the a minor scale, as my guitar solo.. its so sad..

  11. @JH0217 from what i know, the C major scale is the same as the A minor scale but different roots. it depends on the progression to whether u insert the major or minor scale. technically in this case, playing the A minor scale over the C major root sounds happier and more fitting. i might be wrong tho…
