Rolling Stones – "Sympathy For the Devil" – start to finish

For this piece I cobbled together footage from the 1968 Jean-Luc Godard film originally titled "One Plus One" to depict the evolution of the Stones classic from initial run-throughs to final recording. Additionally, theres a bit of live footage from the 69 Altamont gig documented in the Maysles Brothers "Gimme Shelter" at the end. This song has one of the all time great solos – from M Taylor. Keith said he couldn’t stand working with him. Jealousy? I don’t think so. It was all about being a team player for Keith. Anyway, thanks for that fine, fine solo!
