This is the ALBUM version. The live version is played differently. This was done after the instruction of Paul Gray (slipknot bassist) in the DVD Behind The Player. Its tuned like instructed, played like instructed, so be careful on the comments 😉 Tuning of the bass ( B, F#, B, E – used bass tuner so dont post comments that Im not in tune ) The only mistakes Ive done is the very last note: I played B (open string), instead of the 1st fret.. and at one point or two I might be playing slightly faster than the song, cuz of the amp being louder than the song. WATCH IN High Quality! Enjoy!! Bass: Gibson Thunderbird Filmed by: LG Viewty Recording: Laney RB7 through M-Audio Profire 610 Software: Sony Vegas 7.0 (and Ampeg SVX plug-in!)

  1. hey bro great job is there a way were you can just do a cover of it with out the music

  2. Hit the 7th note on that string and it will show F# if you’re in B 🙂

  7. Well done. The Thunderbird is excellent!

I recorded my cover using Paul Gray’s Behind The Player DVD as well. But I play the live jam playthrough version he does with Roy Mayorga– with the few extra notes and slight improvisations. Mine also has one note mistake. It’s almost exactly like yours. If you ever want to check it out. Or not. Just saying.
