the beatles suck! stones have created better music with more styles from rock to pop to blues to soul to country etc. their legacy of music has lasted over 50 years! i’ll never understand why idiots come on here bashing music they don’t like in favor of others. THE ROLLING STONES SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!
…what? Their first number 1 was It’s All Over Now. I Wanna Be Your Man was not a no. 1 single bro xD haha. The Stones have played blues, rock, pop, psychedelic, country, disco, punk, new wave, reggae, soul, gospel, R&B, you name it. They’ve done it all. Sadly since the Beatles only lasted till 1970, they never got a chance to experiment with other musical genres other than pop, psychedelic, and rock (sorry I don’t count Helter as a metal song, it’s just an influence).
Amen to that!! Not only they were a HUGE influence to the Stones but to other great ROCK bands as well, like Oasis just to put an example.

I Wanna Be Your Man did not go to # 1 for the Stones. It was a Top 20 hit for the Stones, but didn’t go to # 1. I think when your talk about ‘pop’ it depends on who you compare them to. Although I like the Beatles, I do think they had a more ‘pop’ sound than the Stones did at the time.

I feel like i have to stand up for The Beatles. There music was so much more than pop if you actually listened to them you would know that their music spans many genres. It is the Stones that play the same crap over and over. I would take the decade of music by The Beatles over The Rolling Stones 5 decades any day. I know you are going to get mad so go cry about it and respect The Beatles they helped the Stones start of and even wrote a song for them to use which became their first no.1

The Rolling Stones and the Beatles are both great bands. Personally I prefer the Stones, but respect peoples views, don’t just bash a perfectly innocent band for no reason just because YOU don’t like them, that’s how people get offended!
