From new CD, available at cdbaby.com or www.tallstrom.com TAB at http Here´s the beautiful song "The Rose" written by Amanda McBroom and made famous by Bette Midler in the movie "The Rose" from 1979. I did this arrangement after a request from my girlfriend 🙂 An open G tuning seemed to work well for the melody line… Played on my old Alvarez 5220CEQ, which was standing alone and sad in a corner and just happened to be tuned to an open G.

  1. Beautiful arrangement Martin. Played with feeling, the way it should be.

  2. Very well done, my daughters learn guitar because of you. Again! Thank you so much!

  3. Stört jävla bra! Underbart att höra denna tolkning, lugn och harmonisk. Om ändå originalet var såhär bra.

  4. Amazing. I just picked up my first guitar (same model you play in video) and hope I can play like that some day.

  5. Beautiful guitar piece, facial expressions are kind of disturbing though

  6. Im still watching this video over two years since I first heard it. If I can ever be half as good as this I will be giving strangers the high five!

  7. Beautiful mate, great example of how to slow down and play with your soul.

  8. Beautiful! I used to lie on my stomach on Sunday afternoons dozing while my father played Amanda McBroom singing "The Rose" on his hi-fi system. Your instrumental version does it justice!

  9. I watch this guy then go and pick my guitar up, inspirational

  10. ok..yeah i was so into your music I didn’t realize you have a cd…hahahah see that’s what your music does to people…thanks again

  11. aww..man very very nice…just melts all my stress away. When you make a cd out, i’m going to be the first one to buy it from you…even if it’s just a demo I’ll still buy it from you…I’m always on the road with my job….please your music makes me feel human again…something like your music has to be on the market…

  12. You are such a sensitive and tasteful player. Thanks so much for sharing your music and arrangements here on YouTube.

  13. Really brilliant arrangement. I’m currently working my way through the tab you have on your website. Whilst very simple to play, to get it flowing the way you do is very tricky. I would love to see you do a version of it on your new baritone… everything sounds better on a baritone!
