  1. I’m a blues fan. And I got to tell ya, John Mayall is the only white man I ever saw (early 70’s) that treated the subject matter with reverence and respect. I couldn’t understand how he could play and sing with such feeling and understanding of the music when he wasn’t black. Respect. That’s what it’s all about I guess. In his case at least. And Robert Johnson? I always figured he was the King of chords. I loved his music early and then they remastered his songs. Yum Yum.

  2. "Hawaiian T shirt guy" is John Hammond, Jr.- and on his own albums, he has his vocal moments as well. The 1970 album "Southern Fried" (with Duane Allman and the Muscle Shoals rhythm section) is highly recommended. "Push Comes To Shove" is a recent one that is pretty great, too. Seen him at a number of blues festivals, and he can smoke.

  3. hawai t shirt guy cant sing but he can play that guitar

  4. Thanks very much! Was a good few years ago since i last watched it, but i remember it was a good’un…
    Very kind of you 🙂

  5. just uploaded Can’t You Hear the Wind Howl? Enjoy 🙂

  6. Enjoyed this, but i much prefer the other Johnson documentary that came out a few years after this one called ‘Can’t You Hear the Wind Howl?’
    Cheers for the upload :)

  7. by the way…he was for sure an incredible guitarist…but maybe an amazing singer first…

  8. the way they talk about the way robert johnson copies music it makes him sound almost high end autistic

  9. The truth claims of Yeshua are a matter of non-contradiction and consistency. But the proposition that any style of music is demonic is an escape from reason. Music is a gift and its diversty is grounded by the Blues.

  10. RIP Dave ‘Honey Boy’ Edwards, the last of the original delta blues players

  11. Thanks for the upload… I’v needed to see this for a long time,
