Just learned something today. Will try it out
Great information, thanks for the video!
Great demonstration
Hey! Looks like im going back to the drawing board. What i had been doing is almost the same method, but i was running a boiling pot of water that i would let it set in to heat the bottle, then transfer to an ice water bath. i think it was to much of a temper change. so far, ive been getting around 60{10faa3092bae83cdf963b1ab1025701434ba1e012413cb9c0c72be0a479389c3} success rate, but i noticed some smaller beer bottles just do not cut straight.
That was awesome! I have tons of bottles I have saved and Have been looking for the best method! Thanks!

bucket of hot water, dip the bottle in till scar, and dip it in a bucket of cold water till scar would work too?
This cutter requires round. I have found a method for square and relief ornate surface textures. Seems hard but works. With round this video process is the best. I will have the video for other bottles not round in a few.
Have you tried this with irregular shapes?
good video I am glad I found it.
Excellent Info !! Thanks !
Thank you:-)
9:25 That’s not pressure holding the water in. It is vacuum due to your hand being over the top.
that’s awesome Dan. I just showed it to a co worker who has an old bottle cutting set up and she is going to go try this.. great vid!
Didn’t take long to find your video. Your technique is by far the best. Thank you for being generous with your knowledge.
Cheers and have a great holiday season!
nice one!
Great idea
Nice job on that bottle.
Thank you so much! I need to cut really small perfume bottles to use in jewelry making.
Ive done all the "wrong" ways….You have found the RIGHT way….AWESOME thanks
Yer not letting the rope burn for long enough before dunking if you are getting edges like that. I never get edges like that from rope cutting. An electric sander takes care of the sharp edges nicely.
