This is the first recording I have done since I suffered a stroke. I did every little piece of it. It took awhile for everything to come back musically, so it has been awhile since I’ve recorded anything. The guitar came back pretty quick…although there are parts of songs…even my own songs…that are just completely gone from memory. My voice took awhile. I was really flat for some reason and almost had to learn how to sing again. I think it sounds okay now.

I started this one with the acoustic
then a tambourine to set the beat for the rest
a little clean electric strumming for a subtle fill
then bass drum and snare
then the vocals
then bass
then cymbals
then keyboard parts
and finally the lead

I think it turned out pretty good.
