I believe Keith did this in open E (capoed to F), but Ive tuned to open D (same thing, just tuned lower: DADF#AD) and capoed up a little higher. I just didnt want to break my G string tuning it up. This guitar isnt set up for slide, so its a little metallic-sounding on the frets. Wish I had a dobro to get the right tone!
Great man… i love it.. Sounds great on that guitar..Great song.
Nicely done!
outstanding bro!!
thanks for your great job – very helpful. good to see that coming back on the stones, after a couple of years playing other things, there are cracks like you showing me again (and reminding me of) the essential things.
I learned and perfected this song in open D as per your video. I then changed to open E. It makes a world of difference. It sounds much better in open E. The string tension is better for slide playing, too.
Great Job !!
Could you do a lesson on this one mate?? You play it beautifully!
Could you do a lesson this one mate??
how much money do i need to put down to get a good sounding acoustic like yours? for slide and blues/country-rock
do it please?
thanks man!!us guitar slingers have to support one another=))
No, it’s supposed to be encouraging! Post your versions as video responses to mine.
great job – it seems like you’ve done every single song that I want to do already & very well!!it’s discouraging
Cool, I guessed right!
The original version (Let It Bleed) is in open D tuning (DADF#AD) with the capo at the third postion. The whole song is basically two chords F and Bb. Hey (F) Babe, what’s in your eyes. I saw them (Bb) flashing like airplane (F) lights. You fill my (Bb) cup babe, that’s for (F) sure. But I must come (Bb) back, for a little more…(turnaround)…You got my (F) heart, you got my soul. You got the (Bb) silver, you got the (F) gold…repeat same chords for all verses.
Are you kidding? I’ve already forgotten how to play it!
Hey, very well done, could you tell me the chords you use, or even where your fingers go for the chords?????????????/ thanks…
I´m learning to play great songs watching you. thanks.
Very good rendition of my favourite Keef song……excellent.
Very nice work!
Thank you for the video response!
I do third. But I’m not sure if Keith does it on the second or third, depending on how high/low he tuned.
What fret do you have the capo on?
Cool…I had figured out parts of this, but not the whole thing. So thanks for filling in the blanks. And I understand the tuning concerns. I use an old acoustic (68 Framus) with heavier strings for E tuned slide. That way there’s no concern about broken strings or warped necks/tops.
