bluesguitarunleashed.com for lots more blues guitar lessons. This lesson is a super common lick that I hear from Muddy Waters, Lenny Kravitz, Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Joe Bonamassa, and Im sure just about every other blues player on the planet. Ive shown a couple of examples in this video, but the possibilities with this lick and a good old E chord shape are staggering. Its short but fun, so please enjoy. http
ac dc back in black same lick
I’ve been playing for almost four years now and this lick has really been helping develop calluses on my middle finger which hasn’t had a thick layer yet. Bending that second fret is crazy good.
‘Tribute to Muddy’ from Johnny Winter’s ‘Progressive Blues Experiment’. It starts out as a heavy cover of Rollin Stone cover then he goes off in to Winter land. Cool song check it out if you haven’t before.
MrStoryoftheyear catfish blues by Hendrix uses the same lick
Can anyone tell me any blues songs similar to this that would be fun to play? (don’t say voodoo chile)
Nice lesson:)
Thirty years of playing, Telecaster and a nice tube amp.
For tones in this one I’m using a Custom Tones Ethos Pedal I think… it might be the Eleven Rack. I use both pretty regularly and I can’t remember which one is on this video.
Lol there’s so much "That’s what SHE said" going on in this video. Yamaha I don’t know where to start.
Are you using any effects to get that sound and if so can you share what they are?
What kind of tele is this? Great sounding. Would also be interested in your amp-settings. Nice crunchy breakup. Merry X-Mas!
Great information. Great presentation. Great quality. Subscribed!
thank you sir.
Fleetwood Mac …World Turning uses a variation of that lick.
Cool tone, Killer riff, Thanks Man!
Great little lesson, especially for those of us who have trouble digesting some of the longer lessons. I watch your lessons and after I feel I can actually play some of this stuff.
Thanks again
What amp / effects are you using?
Thanks for the video. I love your tone.
Hey, these days a short lesson works best for me anyway! Awesome Griff…I love that style of music and want to try to learn how to add that "attitude" to my music. Thanks again. Cheers!
Sweet. Nice references to Muddy, Jimi & Lenny K. Thanks.
Very cool, thanks for the info. What strings are you using on your tele?
Great lesson, thanks!
This guy is such a great teacher. He knows how to speak guitar to novices without dragging you down in a bog.
Nice quickie. Cool stuff-Thanks
Griffin… awesome lesson… thanks for not being perfect… us as learners should keep in mind… timing and attitude are as if not more important than always hitting the note perfect every time. 🙂
