This is on my cd High Street. The music and tab are available at my website – on the Transcriptions page. I wrote this for my friend Andy McKee. The title comes from the young daughter of some friends of mine. Her name is Carmen. While while talking afterwards at one of my shows recently, Andys name came up. Her dad told me that Carmen calls Andy Chocolate Mo. No one seems to know why. Regardless, I knew immediately that I had to come up with a tune to match the title. I did a cleaner version for the cd, but thisll do for now. Its played on my 1930 National steel. Enjoy!
Sorry but albert einstein IS THAT YOU??????
he’s a pretty sloppy guitar player.. and i like that somehow ^^
BELLOOOOO!!!!
It’s a 1930 National Steel resonator guitar. The specific model is called a Triolian.
Cheers,
sb
What kind of guitar is that ?
OMG, you play resonators too? I’m a National guitar fanatic, but you and McKee are the reason I got into harp guitar, and I’ve been following your hg works…stumbling on this is a real treat! Very nicely done!
Stephen, if I may say: I don’t know very many of your songs, but this one is my favorite so far. I just love its quirky bluesy tone. I just can’t stop listening to it!
sweet song, great story
That tuning takes on a new life with the double Cs on top.
now i know why resonators exist ! fantastic , thanjs
I like what you said at the Denver show when someone shouted out, "Free Bird!" You said, "Yeah, free bird. We’re gonna play a tune for you that we like to call "Stairway to Free Bird." Lol You guys were awesome. As I understand it, Antoine’s set was first (right?) which me and my buddy unfortunately missed. Hope guys come back out. Denver loves ya!
Well done young man! 🙂
Thanks! She’s very young and doesn’t really say why she calls him Chocolate Mo. Tres Padres on a cd? Maybe so – we’ll see. Glad you like it!
Thanks! CGCGCC
Did you ask Carmen how she came up with the name? You said no one knows where the name came from, but maybe she knows. By the way, it was awesome seeing you, Andy and Antoine at the Soiled Dove in Denver. You guys rocked. Is Tres Padres gonna be on CD?
very cool, makes ya thunk of stirrin chocolate milk and chuggin it down. what’s the tuning?
Nice Music sir wish u the best!
I didn’t know that Albert Einstein also plays guitar.
Nice job man! Really like it.
That could make for some great music loops on video games. Well done!
