    vishwamohan bhatt is not kabra student he is self worked on that but vishwamohan bhaat father and mother was well popular musicians

    Debashish Bhattacharya was Kabra’s student (and received from him the guitar he plays, it is a Hofner acoustic guitar bought by Kabra in 1958 and modified by himself in order to play it slide – see the booklets of Bhattacharya’s recordings from India Archive Music).

    I thought I read or heard it somewhere that Vishwa Mohan Bhatt was Kabra´s student, but if I´m wrong in that respect I apologize for my mistake.

    Vishwa Mohan Bhatt is not Kabraji’s student. Vishwa Mohan-ji learned from his elder brother first before becoming a disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar.

    Is this from a dvd? If so what is the title of the video? I love Brij Bhushan Kabra, but there are so few recordings available (at least in North America)

    Ah, the slide-guitar! Undoubtedly one of the most charming instruments in the world, and Kabraji is one of its foremost players to hail from India. Two of his students, V.M. Bhatt and Debashish Bhattacharya, are also superb exponents of this magical instruments.
