Some slidin over a backing track I downloaded from www.guitarbackingtrack.com. This is in Dropped-D tuning, DADGBE. A great set of blues chords to improvise over.

  1. Thanx for the tip (about the last 20 secs), I followed it & listend to eet verrrry carefully and it blew my mind – the guy is NUTS!… Is there a DVD of his music to be bought?

  2. it’s funny because those "single notes" are outlined out of the chords he’s using so he’s techincally playing the chords / changes, just with single notes phrasing, which makes it sound the way it does. id find it rather boring if all he did was just play the chords that the backing track has. and too much plucking? plucking is how he plays… so in that case you dont want him to play…? im sorry, i just dont understand your logic AT ALL

  3. Good but I think you stretched it a bit–becomes repititive–same–same–a little more dynamics–more "snot"–just an ear observation from a sometimes slide player.

  4. Amazing is the word. I enjoyed your Slide Guitar music very much!

  5. please please god let me beable to play this that good …someday…im 2weeks in and wow …..you give me the drive..thats what i want to do ….you make that six string sing…i envy you and want to emulate u some day….long time commin though…i can do it…just not now…god your good

    Wow!
I created an account and logged in just so I could say that.

  8. nice tones man, nice sound really liked it, no pissing about and no fret wank, dont think there is a wasted note 🙂 a rarity these days 🙂

  9. Wow. Monster heart! Will you please share how you get your tone equipment wise? From your pickups, to any pedals to the amp and speaker. You’ve definately nailed my Holy Grail! I’m really going to enjoy listening and watching your videos. Thank you for making them available to us!

    Very best regards, Kwall

  10. I like your backings especially on this, def want to download one from that website. Where is the backing coming from though? if its your amp how do you get it to run through there?

  11. Amazing =)
    Great played with feeling.
    We love it! 5/5

  12. Love your style, Kirk!
Especially the way you make use of your fingers in combination with the slide.
I’m tipping they are heavy gauge strings?

  13. you are amazing. is that a custom guitar btw? i see no mark from fender and you have a unique sound. i wold like to buy ur instruction book im looking into your website as we speak, two thumbs up!

  14. this guitar looks like a piece of furniture. I’d steal it, hang it on the wall and never touch it, so I won’t ruin it 😡
