Learn to play slide guitar in 5 minutes.
3 steps:
1) Tune to an open G chord (from standard pitch, tune the A string down to G, the low E string to D and the high E to a D. Leave the others strings in normal tuning),
2) Place a slide over the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 12th frets,
3) Improvise to a shuffle rhythm.
This was performed on a Guild D4 (NT HR) True American acoustic guitar, but will work just as well on an electric. I used a metal slide which you can buy cheaply from a music shop. Or you can improvise with a glass bottleneck or metal can.
Part of a series of videos to promote good social, emotional and mental health (SEMH). This demonstrates the power of music in an accessible format.
