Tuning is EGDGBD. Im still not convinced this is the tuning used, but I figured you can choose which version you want to play.

  1. At 2:17, it’s A string and G string at 3rd fret, D string at 4th fret. You also hit the low E string at the 2nd fret at one point. At 2:23, it’s ADG strings at 6th fret and you hammer the B string from 4th fret to 5th fret.

  2. hi pv can u pls exxplain the fingering at 2:17 and 2.23

  3. Love this song! privettricker probably does the best covers on youtube. although it’s kind of like the neighbor on home improvement…you never see his face

  4. This version is open G with the low E string staying at E rather than going down to D.

  5. In his book keith said he used open G tunning on this one

  6. i always thought it was egdgbe but idk i could be wrong :S

  7. Love it! Open G is my favorite alternate tuning! Enough of that though.. Is that a Schecter Pete Townsend Tele? Looks and sounds great. Just thought I’d ask.

  8. If I had a dollar for every song Keith played differently onstage than he did in the studio, I’d be…Keith Richards.

  9. The high E string? That would give you 6th chords, though. Hmmm…

  10. Great version, learning it slowly…I know you get a ton of requests but I’d love to see you do Loving Cup by the Stones, and maybe Sister Luck by the Black Crowes….? Such beautiful songs…

Thanks again for your posts. Always look forward to them….

  11. I used to joke with some of my high school friends that Keith Richards was a "human riff". Just plug him into the wall and he’d play! We meant that in a flattering way actually!

  12. Hi PT – try using open G but leave the high E string tuned normally to E. I think that’s it.

  13. Just those two, not hitting any open strings in the intro.

  14. Hey priv great video . In the intro r u just playing the 3rd and 4th frets of the A and D strings and moving your index finger up to the 4th fret and keeping your middle finger on the 4th fret for the end of the intro or r their open strings you hitting as well? thx
