The Rolling Stones classic "Jumpin Jack Flash" performed by Tom Hauck – Live@Home. The guitar is Toms 1976 Fender Telecaster. Key of A with standard tuning. (The Stones play it live in the key of B. The original 1968 studio version is in the key of Bb.) Since 1969 Keith has played it in B with a capo at the fourth fret. There is much discussion about whether you need to be in open G tuning. With a capo you can stay in standard tuning. Anyway, in 1969 Mick Taylor doubled Keiths part with no capo and in standard tuning. He probably played it the way Im playing it here. My vocal approach is inspired by Johnny Winters "Johnny Winter And Live" version, which is why I lowered the key a step – I cannot howl like Johnny Winter (no one else can, either!). Tom Hauck is a former guitar player and songwriter for Bostons powerpop titans the Atlantics (1976 – 1982) and Ball and Pivot (1983 – 1988). www.facebook.com
