No one has ever played the blues like Robert Johnson did. An no one will ever play the blues like Roy Rogers do. 😉

Didn’t he just – over play it that is, then set it on fire, pissed on it and splashed in the puddles. Still very slick indeed.

I agree that Roy is overplaying this song, but it’s clear that he is putting his heart and soul into it. I really enjoy his interpretation, even if it is overplayed. I listen to this song almost as much as I listen to Robert Johnson’s.

‘kin ‘ell. Most of that was impossible. At 1:18 I realised that ability such as this is given to very few people. I’m not one.

I love the way Roy takes traditional open G or A songs and plays them in open D or E….creates a unique sound……

Too cool Roy even owns a "Terraplane", but like he said it’s doubtful that’s what Robert J. was referring too, LOL!

Quite cool version, however Roy is seriously over playing this song and I wouldn’t be playing the E chord, it hardly needs it. The beauty of Terraplane blues is its sophisticated simplicity..which eludes many performers.
