  1. Awesome, touches the soul. Thankyou for bringing this music to us.

  2. No one has ever played the blues like Robert Johnson did. An no one will ever play the blues like Roy Rogers do. 😉

  3. Didn’t he just – over play it that is, then set it on fire, pissed on it and splashed in the puddles. Still very slick indeed.

  4. I agree that Roy is overplaying this song, but it’s clear that he is putting his heart and soul into it. I really enjoy his interpretation, even if it is overplayed. I listen to this song almost as much as I listen to Robert Johnson’s.

  5. ‘kin ‘ell. Most of that was impossible. At 1:18 I realised that ability such as this is given to very few people. I’m not one.

  6. I love the way Roy takes traditional open G or A songs and plays them in open D or E….creates a unique sound……

  7. Too cool Roy even owns a "Terraplane", but like he said it’s doubtful that’s what Robert J. was referring too, LOL!

  8. Quite cool version, however Roy is seriously over playing this song and I wouldn’t be playing the E chord, it hardly needs it. The beauty of Terraplane blues is its sophisticated simplicity..which eludes many performers.

  9. You’re suggesting this guy is better than Robert Johnson? What drug are you on?

  10. The Blues has many faces.. this man is a genius at HIS blues sound.. and I dig it!!

  11. how old is roy here? and how old was bobbie when he recorded this….exactly

  12. the pain is the pain of those who enjoy must put up with those can’t appreciate roys sound, i mean what a pain to see these nit pickers throwing stones at a guy who has earned respect, pain. how do you know if he has pain? stop being a pain and start appreciating this mans awesome talents, a curse on your pain.

  13. stumbled onto this one – good god. Now i’ll be days looking at the rest of his. Don’t know how I could have missed this guy for so long. Incredible. Roy, I’m seriously a fan now.
