Learned this earlier today and thought i would share it, in my own unique retarded way of showing people stuff 😀 Just to clear up any confusion about the "E" chord as i was playing 2 different ones, i only mentioned that i preffered it but then like an idiot proceded to play both ways lol so its literally just up to you! Using the 5 string barre E makes it easier to get to the little riff bit after the E chord, but it doesnt sound as wholesome as the open E, just use whichever position you prefer 🙂 The 2nd thing is the Chorus, its the C# G# AND the A power chord which get the 2 strums then muted, not just the C# and G# like i thought, but you still loosen up and strum away at the E 🙂 i should probably prepare better for this stuff huh XD Also.. if any of this isnt "true" to the album version, thats probably because i pretty much worked it out, so apologies for any inaccuracy. Id love feedback on this too?? Clear enough? Is where you have to put your fingers quick enough? Any parts confusing?? Vocal explanations make sense with what im actually showing you? This will simply help me make better vids in the future, if i know what im doing badly 🙂 Just to save some confusion.. the album track is in E flat tuning, this is in standard tuning 🙂 so youd need to de-tune your guitar to play along with the song itself!

  1. Ok, I can kinda understand that. I just had a feeling it sounded a little off when I was listening but it makes sense.

  2. It mentions that in the description dude.

I find when i want to learn something via video it can be frustrating where some people stick with standard and some people stick with the original tunings. You’re forever having to tune up and down as you find some videos are not as good as another blah blah. As most people are tuned in standard i figured that was the most sensible/least annoying way to do lessons and then people can retune to play along with backings 🙂

  3. Don’t mean to hate, but I think the way you played it was the wrong key. It should be played in Eb

  4. Great video helped a lot made my friend really mad because i can play this and he’s be trying to learn it from crappy vids so ill show him your video so he can finally learn it right

  5. My lead guitar player uses a Tele in my metal band, and it works great! 😀 So now, you can say, Very versatile, can use them in everything, even metal!

  6. thx for the reply i ended up gettin and epiphone les paul standard though

  7. Nice Telecaster, I have one the exact same besides neck color and nice tutorial. Def. not for metal, I try with my zoom pedal.

  8. Cheers man.

Telecasters are awesome! They’re really versatile and really nice to play, i own 3 of them and i love them all! If you’re really skinny they can be a bit uncomfy on the ribs as they have no contours. Upper fret access is obviously a little limited, but not impossible. One of my favorite guitars 🙂 the only thing i wouldn’t recommend them for is metal.

  9. nice telecaster… thinking about getting one… any opinions on the guitar…. also nice playing

  10. You have the most beautiful blue guitar in the background… *_*

  11. When you get to the part when you strum them individually I always mute G5, how do I not mute it?

  12. Awesome 🙂 you’re right, sadly there are not so many girls that play guitar, but i think way more girls play guitar now than 10 years ago which is awesome m/ this will be a little bit tricky for a complete beginner because of using barre chords mostly, they can take a bit of time to play properly, good luck though! 🙂

  13. I love this song I want to learn this song I’m 15 and a girl not many girls I know play guitar. I have to learn guitar first I’m going to get lessons so I will look at this video again.

  14. LOL, it’s alright mate, I’m not the thought police, but it’s hard to teach my grandma this song with Mutha**** floating just below the chords 😀

  15. Instead of going to that open ‘e’ during the rhythm just play a ‘d’ shape chord on the 4th fret. Much easier and sounds just as good.

  16. Sorry about that, i’m currently toning down my t-shirt collection to be more general public friendly though 😀

  17. Appreciate the vid, but crude t-shirt not necessary 🙁
