is that a Kay guitar? i have one `from the 70s i think 72… yours looks just like it.
no, its just a small chrome pinky slide you can buy at any music store.
if your guitar is in standard tuning youll get that sound, my guitar is tuned down a whole step, so by putting a capo on the third fret im bring it up to standard tuning.
great video, can i just put acapo on third fret to achieve your tuning? sounds fantastic. plz help me.
are u using a ratchet socket for the slide?looks like a snap on …great video…
Slide in Standard Tuning is actually much easier than in Open Tuning because all the shapes and patterns you’ve already learned are the same and still apply to slide.
And the "fingerless chords" are there in Standard too (if you know where to look for them).
hey, im just helpin you out with your vocab….like a spelling lesson 😀
you n00b…a "principal" is the head of your school…a "PRINCIPLE" is a particular theory of a basic rule or law……you had it right th first time.
If you have a lot of different guitars and can tune them to different tunings.
It’s a real pain to tune back and forth sometimes. Of course I play in open tunings, and standard tuning.
Plus the fact that standard tuning is a real challange to play in.
Open tuning has some advantages. Standard tuning has some advantages when playing slide too.
It all depends on how you see the fret board.
This might be a stupid question, but why would anyone play slide guitar in standard tuning? Doesn’t that preclude the principle advantage of using a slide, i.e. the ability to play finger-less chords up and down the fretboard.
very helpful, thank you!!
Thanks that was a great tutorial for us beginners!! More please!
