    I agree with you partially. Brian’s loss was definately heard. But, for a few years, Mick Taylor did an excellent job with albums like Let It Bleed. However, I believe the Stones "died" when Mick’s voice got thrashed over the years.

    if you think about it the Beatles & the Stones both got creative and very good after they were financially OK.Rubber Soul & Revolver are 2 of the most outstanding records ever.in 69-70 Let It Bleed & Beggars Banquet are absolutely wonderful to listen to.you can’t deny the founding of either group though,it started with R&B.Brian was the takeup on that but he really stalled.if you listen to the lead guitar on this,it just blows you away.

    Yes, the Stones are the greatest rock’n’roll band in the world.
    And we can say they presumably will always be the greatest rock’n’roll band in the world…

    You’re right,the Stones didn’t die when Brian did,and subsequently released some great albums.But when you take such a musical genius out of the equation,a big hole emerges.Mick Taylor was a brilliant guitarist and certainly did the technical job but Brian was the founder and soul of the band,and things could never be quite the same again.My teen years were spent worshipping the Stones and,to my mind,their unique magic has never been equalled.I wish I could re-live the 60’s!!

    No one’s probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I’m a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there’s a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.
