Today, 40+ years after first hearing this Stones song, I heard an old blues song for the first time I’m convinced Mick likely got the germ of an idea for his "Monkey Man" lyrics from: "Monkey Woman Blues", by Jimmy And Mama Yancey. Unfortunately YouTube doesn’t seem to have it. I heard it on a Blues streaming radio channel. Maybe Grooveshark has it?
