Just a simple arrangement of Jimi Hendrixs "Voodoo Child" played on a 3 string fretless Cigar Box Guitar that I made. No effects, just a little overdrive on the amp. Growing up left handed, people always wanted me to play some Hendrix. So Im just having fun and trying to keep true to the spirit of the blues from which this song was written. And now for something completely different . . .

  1. very cool and exactly what I am looking for. How did you develop the arrangement. I want to give this tune a try on my own three string fretless.

  2. I don’t think you can go wrong either way…frets do take a little bit more time…especially if you do them correctly….
and a simple open tuned fretless slide can be a lot of fun

  3. building my 1st 1 not sure if it will be fret or fretless

  4. send me your E mail to respond to you with some insight about your playing……very RAW!!!!

  5. right now I just make them for my own use, but you can make them yourself… go to cigarboxnation for plans and you can find people who sell kits, parts or completed projects
