Just trying out my new "Paloma" stone ceramic slide – Im really satisfied with this one – smooth sliding, great sustain and perfect fit (looks cool too) Checkm out www.stoneslides.com I did a series of 4 lessons, explaining the tablature; heres the link to the first lesson (in the description of that lesson youll find the link to the second lesson etc) www.youtube.com TAB available at www.daddystovepipe.com Only €7.50 and you get the tab for "The Old School" free as a bonus Heres the link to that song http Im playing a "Delta Resonator" (Louisiana model) made in the UK by John Alderson. This song is not an easy one, the right hand techniques are pretty advanced. My slide lesson dvd explains many of these techniques in great detail. Three songs are taught : – Walkin Blues in the style of Robert Johnson and Johnny Shines – Joe Turner Killed A Man in thestyle of Mance Lipscomb – Someday Baby Blues in the style of Mississippi Fred McDowell Heres the link www.youtuberecords.com I did some easier delta blues slide lessons in the past. 1. Very keen observation – indeed, I owe a lot to Bob Brozman, as every contemporary slide guitarist does. On the other hand, Bob didn’t invent everything he plays – he mixes blues, jazz, ragtime, calyso and hawaiian music from the 20-30ies; the endresult is a personal style with all these influences apparent.

  2. Sounds alot like Bob Brozman’s music, I guess you know and maybe are influenced by him. Very nice playing.

  3. It really upsets me that talent like you is so hard to come by in this line of music, well done 🙂

  4. Smoking playing, you sure your fingers are not on fire? I’m learning some of this for sure.

  5. oh my God" man… you smoked this one. I sure love hearing you play.

  6. Inspirational man, I am not going to lie I am going to steal some of these licks!!! Awesome Awesome post.

  7. Have you not seen Daddystovepipe’s hundred of other soulful videos on Youtube? And anyway, the blues is as much about "showing off" as it is about feeling – the pre-war musicians knew this, brother.

  8. Awesome slide that’s absolutely cool!! 😀

  9. man that is amazing!! how long have you been playing??

  10. there were so many fantastic licks in that tune! thanks for puttin that up!

  11. A beast of a hat to go with a beast of a song. Nice playin

  13. you are a skilled technician with precision, but delta blues come from the soul. your playing is too indulgent. less showing off and more feeling brother
