  5. This is a good versoion of Robet’s Crossroadss, But the 1988 tour of EC doing the crossroads version with Mark Knoplhlier was the best of the best versionsf crossroads. It was emotional and driving into the soul of the song;, Nontheles, it was the most emotional version ,this current verion is decent reggee style but it can’t copmpare to the 1988 versoion of Clapton/knophler’s crossroads. Sorry, it is just MY opinion.

  6. I don’t care who is the greatest guitar player; it’s the style. Eric Clapton is obviously one of the greatest, but to me, his style is number 1. No competition.

  7. the guy talking in the begin is i think is keith richards

  8. I just didn’t to piss off Hendrix fans, just like Stevie Ray Vaughn fans they will rip off your head if you say otherwise. Sure Hendrix played fast and was almost inhumanly fast but Clapton didn’t need a whammy bar and too much distortion to make a guitar sing and if he wanted to he could play fast as well. Rating guitarists is retarded anyway.

  9. I wouldn’t say Jimi Hendrix was obviously better (the obviousness is where we split hairs). I mean Clapton was the man.

  10. @tfbsdbu ive lost count how much money i spent on these products before i started really making money! i would do it all over again cause i learned tons and ended up finding a goldmine method which allowed me to quit my job. if you take it seriously you can have an income in days read this => bit.ly/P7CDwK?=fziak

  12. To a great extend, yes – much of his work has been paying homage to him. This song (in all interpetations) included!

  13. An amazing take of Robert Johnson’s ‘Crossroads’ !!!

  14. anyone know how to play this version or where to find a tab – i cant get the sort of choppy rhythm right! 🙁

  15. Here’s my list for good Clapton guitar times.
60’s, 1970 and 2000’s with some good spots in between but mostly recycled licks.
/watch?v=APWhx97QvxE This version of I Shot The Sheriff has some really great and original phrasing in the intro solo.

  16. No.
You might think he’s overrated but that’s just because you lack perspective and knowledge. He’s self taught and one of the first white blues men around, respected by Jimi Hendrix (obviously better) because he was one of the first to use the guitar like he did. The most overrated guitarist ever is Slash. Eric Clapton of much more of a musician with his pitch perfect and soulful singing now than a guitarist because that’s just an added bonus, with his play style covering multiple genres.

  17. Incredible take of Robert Johnson’s Crossroads !!!

  18. robert johnson is surely smiling – this is a masterpiece

  19. Check "Rosetta West – Underground" for some good raw, slide guitar blues

  20. i personally believe that Hendrix was the most influential guitarist ever, but eric clapton, man you just gotta respect him, like you said he did a ton for the electric guitar.
