Original blues moaning about work. I actually like my job, but quite like a good moan too, as colleagues, friends and family will testify. The term "ghost in the shell" is taken from Japanese anime films and tv series of the same name, which I rather enjoyed. The ghost is the last vestige of human spirit left at the core of cybernetically enhanced humans. Heres the lyrics, if youd like to sing along: I keep on working night and day. I keep on going with flat line pay. Im still here standing on feet of clay. I take my orders and have no say. A flip-flop circuit switching. My free will barely twitching. The ghost in my shell itching To unplug and fly away. The emails rain down hour after hour. They tell me nothing just disempower. Creative ideas do not flower. This working life turns sweet to sour. This is played on my Tanglewood electroacoustic guitar tuned to open d with a ceramic Mudslide through a Vox DA5 amp, recorded using a Blue Snowball mic onto my laptop with Audacity. The harmonica is a Hohner Super 20 played in cross harp position. The percussion is my German-made frying pan hit with a <b>…<b>
