Interesting in learning to play Delta Blues?

  1. Thank you for your comment and question. I am tuned in Vestapol tuning (major scale tones: 151351) Key of C (CGCegc low to high). This is exactly like the tuning for the lessons on CD 1 (Open DADf#ad) except I am tuned down a whole step to match my voice. All the fingerings are the same, but of course the guitar sounds in a different key. Additionally, tuning lower is much easier on the guitar neck (no truss rod installed). Enjoy.

  2. Awesome…Can you let the viewers know what the tuning of your guitar is for this song? Thank you so much!!!!

  3. Thank you for your interest and bringing this situation to my attention. I ship my CDs internationally. It is just this "Special Offer" that includes the slide that is not shipped internationally. (Shipping rates are too high). Please visit ebay (U.S. site) and search: keni lee

  6. Thank you for your interest and kind words. Harmony guitars certainly make a great alternative to buying a vintage 1920/30 Stella. I am not aware of any modern manufacturers that are still producing low end ladder braced guitars. Happy New Year 2011. Enjoy.

  12. Thank you for your interest and question. For slides: visit ebay and search: willy’s slides.
You do not have to raise the action. Although, when you tune below standard to open D or open G, the strings might get to loose to provide the proper tension for the slide to ride on and produce a good tone. You might need at least a medium gauge. I also use a .016 for the high string. Please check out my instructional videos on ebay by searching: keni lee

  13. Thank you my friend. Greatly appreciate your continued encouragement. Enjoy.

  14. I’m interested in playing some slide guitar on my regular acoustic. I’ve heard that I’d have to raise the action and get heavier strings, but I’d like to know where you get your slides. I like the sound of your bottlenecks.
